The Healing that Gratitude and Thankfulness Offers

Practicing gratitude is a powerful tool for personal self-renewal. It involves acknowledging and appreciating the good things in our lives, both big and small. By cultivating a sense of gratitude, we shift our focus towards a better and more efficient mindset.

One struggle and weakness of most of us is not taking the time to show gratitude to the people in our life.  Intentionally practicing gratitude is about NOT denying or ignoring the challenges in life. Consider it to be a bit more about shifting your focus towards the constructive and confidence that come from the very GOD of such characteristics.

Have you ever seen the Son of GOD struggling with His identity and praise for those whom He has in His life? His gratefulness was evermore tied to His obedience to His Father’s Ways and kindness towards Him. When we are heard, we have confidence and have zero problems giving our all and praise.

When GOD spoke of His Son, He was ALWAYS pleased. When Yeshua spoke of His Father, it was always in Words of endearment and reverence.

Life is so temporary!  Everyone lives, and everyone dies. Considering that, why do we spend so much time and energy on negative thinking, negative words and negative conversations?  I am around people who are notoriously downbeat. Some of them are professed believers.

What your words leave behind when you blow in and whirl out can and will have influence. Not everyone can have a world-wide impact, so, leave the change in your family, workplace and friends. That impact alone can be significant.

Like the ripples on a pond, your life influences others, who in turn influence others, and so on. Down through generations, the influence flows. Words matter… so does kindness and so does being grateful.

Are you able to decipher between grateful and thankful? As time goes on, the influence we have can tend to fade, but there are always ripples. Will your ripples help others, or will they drown them?

Be an impact. Be an unsung hero. I am sure that you will likely have one of these close to your home. Stop in and say thanks, give your time, a smile or your resources.

Gratitude, kindness and thanksgiving will go a rather great distance. Don’t forget the ripple effect. It matters not what neighborhood you live in; we all have people who are struggling. The kindness you show through your help, or your gifts and donations produce waves which can go on for generations and spread through that very community.

Healing is the process of making or becoming sound or healthy again. Ponder on the fact that money only helps, it does not heal.

Some of the most broken, lonely or unhealthy folks around are those who only see “fortune” as money. Have you ever met a person who is bubbly or has a rich relationship with Jesus? No? You are in for a treat.

Not many of those people need money, they just put it to work when they have it. Get the attitude of gratitude. It will change your life. It is quite remarkable to witness the transformation in a person when he or she exhibits a heart of thanks along with an attitude of gratitude.

One of the most comprehensive Biblical words for healing is “marpe”. Here are some of the words I located concerning that word: cure, healing, remedy and sound. Wholesome, yielding, composure, soothing and tranquil.

Marpe is withheld when hard-heartedness persists. “He who is often reproved, yet stiffens his neck, will suddenly be shattered beyond healing” --Proverbs 29:1

“We hoped for peace, but no good has come; for a time of healing, but there was only terror” --Jeremiah 8:15 & 14:19

“For you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings” --Malachi 4:2

"Healing doesn't mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls your life."

“Healing is a process that allows one to regain control and find strength despite the scars of the past.”

Healing deals show up in every person differently. Many people struggle for a lifetime with either an emotional, mental or physical malady. Even in them, practicing thanksgiving and appreciativeness are powerful tools for the person who seeks self-renewal. It involves acknowledging and appreciating the good things in our lives, both big and small. By cultivating a sense of gratitude, we shift our focus towards a better and more efficient mindset.

If you are a professed Christian, Jesus follower, or believer in Yeshua (This is the same person – FYI). The Bible tells and teaches us the mindset of those who declare that they follow Him, must also do what He says. That is called obedience.

His Word tells us all about “being thankful in every circumstance.” Does it not?
