The Spirit of GOD Reveals Who We Are, as We Learn Who GOD Is

‍Our revelation of who we are is predicated on Who we understand Jesus is. As He is revealed to us, by the Spirit, we will see deeper of our need for He and the Kingdom Ways of GOD.‍‍ ‍

If we take a Biblical perspective and use the symbolism of the revelation of Jesus, we can be similarly amazed about what GOD can reveal what is “in us”, to us —as we trust the Spirit of Truth.

The transforming work of the Holy Spirit is something that takes place literally all throughout the Scriptures, if you are watching. It’s undoubtedly the central theme in all of GOD’s plan for the Covenant. Following and obeying the Spirit of GOD, one can’t escape the unnatural change(s) that occurs in a believer’s life as they are renewed in mind, character, and identity through the indwelling presence of GOD’s Spirit. ‍ ‍

People can tell. You will know.‍‍ ‍

Our true and honest and actual-factual spiritual transformation is not accidental or automatic. It is a deliberate process that begins when we decide to learn Who GOD, the Holy Spirit, and Yeshua are. This decision opens the door to the renewal of the mind and the renovation of the character that Scripture calls for.‍

Sitting on the sideline or lying in bed and expecting to know Him through another, and/or via osmosis is unreasonably outlandish thought.‍ ‍

It is true… Many of us who are distant or on the fence with reading the Bible to find Him don’t readily know that our strength and maturation derive from THAT!

Reading another person’s thoughts from a book from the library, best seller’s listing or coffee shop is NOT the resource we are required to use. If the Bible is NOT the Source, and something else we read has more preeminence, this should tell us why we are not confident or strong concerning His Written Words. ‍ ‍

Those periodicals and commentaries are good to get us thinking on Them, but teaching us…? Not so much. The Holy Spirit is not likely going to point us to a book written by Annie Johnson [made-up], to use her perspective about the Truth of GOD, when He is promised to teach us and remind us of the things GOD has spoken. Paul writes in Romans 12:2, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind (GOD’s Word alone does this). Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of GOD.” This renewal is not just moral improvement; it is a change in identity and orientation toward GOD’s purposes. ‍ ‍

If a person wants change…  If a person wants to grow… If a person desire to know the Lord Jesus, talking about it is not going to do it. MOVE! Bury your face in the Word of GOD!‍

The Holy Spirit is the specified Agent of transformation. In John 3:5-6, Jesus says, “No one can enter the kingdom of GOD unless he is born of water and the Spirit.” This “birth of the Spirit” is the initial act of regeneration, setting the believer on the path to building the good name (character) of His Son. The Spirit indwells us, empowers us, and produces the “fruit of the Spirit” — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control –Galatians 5:22-23

The Gospel (realistically, this is ALL 66 Books, not just 4) reveals Who GOD is, Who Yeshua is, and Who the Holy Spirit is. In Acts 4:12, Peter declares, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name (character) under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” While the Gospel (besorah) is the power of GOD for Salvation, and it is through It/Him that we are drawn near to GOD and made new. ‍

Is not the Word Himself all of the Scripture? ‍ ‍

I am grateful that we had a fantastic Model for restoration and hope. We all should recognize this Salvation as Jesus. Don’t work so hard at limiting the entire Book of GOD’s Ways, to ONLY MatthewActs. Each of them is filled and written by GOD’s Spirit’s inspiration or His Voice, or eye-witness. The “Good News” transforms us all, if we internalize the Ways He has given to govern every man and woman!‍‍ ‍

I am unable to repeat with meaning what has already been shared via the Word of GOD—we MUST “learn who we are in Them.”‍ ‍

Here is a repeatable FACT. To be transformed, we must actively engage with Scripture, meditate on GOD’s character, and understand the work of the Spirit and the person of Yeshua. This is not passive or meek to the point of spiritual weakness; it is a covenantal obedience to the Word, as Paul swings for the fences about in Ephesians 4:23. Remember, the mind, YOUR MIND, is renewed through the Spirit-illuminated Truth of Scripture. ‍ ‍

When we learn and believe Who GOD, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus are, we are “being transformed into the same image”, per, 2 Corinthians 3:18. As we are reflecting Christ’s likeness in character and conduct, we live out this integrity. Our change will be consistent if we are persistent. The spiritual state is very much dependent on our cooperation with the Spirit.‍ ‍

REPEAT: There is no spiritual revolution or renewal unless we decide to sell out to learning — to seek, study, and internalize Who GOD is, Who the Holy Spirit is, and Who Yeshua, the Perfect Lamb from GOD is. Every person who decides to make this decision initiates the renewal of the mind, the work of the Spirit, and the life of Christ in us, leading to a converted identity and a life that pleases GOD.‍‍

Just as the Book of Revelation unveils the majesty and ultimate victory of Jesus, the Holy Spirit works to unveil the image of Christ within believers. …which is the unveiling of the majesty and ultimate victory of Jesus in us. Cool, huh?‍ ‍

Once again, this inner renewal is excellently illustrated in 2 Corinthians 3:18, which speaks of being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory. As the "Spirit of Truth," Jesus introduces the Holy Spirit as the One Who guides believers into all Truth in John 16:13.

‍ ‍

Please allow this to be YOU.

‍ ‍

When the Word has been sown in us (reading, listening and studying), the Ruach of GOD (Holy Spirit) divulges the revelational uncovering of the stuff we would never be able to wrap our minds around, until we reconcile with our own faith concerning Him. ‍‍ ‍

Learning the messiness that is at residence within each of us is quite revealin, and can be rather shocking, when the Spirit of Truth exposes the sin of our hearts and minds. What is really going on inside us is what has been spiritually broken since we were born. We have always needed Help, He comes in the Form of the Spirit of Truth, called Yeshua, the Law of GOD. Is that a revelation to many? YES! ‍ ‍

This Truth not only reveals Who GOD is but also uncovers our true identity and potential in Him. The Hidden Treasure of who we are rests in the very event of GOD revealing something amazing within us, when His Son’s character aligns us with the imagery in 2 Corinthians 4:7, which describes believers as "jars of clay" holding an all-surpassing power from GOD.

The revelation of the mysteries of Scripture is an exploration. When we dig into the Word of GOD, page by page and flip by flip, we find out Truths of the Plan of GOD and eventually, that very Plan’s Mystery is shown to the searcher, and Walla, the understanding comes.

Forgiven sinners, forgive sinners. That is Kingdom action! Those people are the ones who emphasize that the Spirit’s work is inseparable from GOD’s Word. What am I saying? I am saying, “The Spirit without the Word is weaponless, and the Word without the Spirit is powerless.”  That is a good quote. Is it not?  I did not make that up, someone else did.‍ ‍

What do I encourage you to do now? ‍ ‍

  • Live a life of holiness (sanctification).

  • Fulfill GOD’s mission in the world.

  • Experience the “abundant life” of Yeshua—John 10:10 ‍ ‍

‍Scripture reveals that spiritual transformation is the process of Christ being formed in you. This profound mystery, which Colossians 1:27 calls "Christ in you, the hope of glory," is explained throughout the Bible using powerful, living metaphors. When the Holy Spirit unveils these symbols, we see that every picture of our personal growth is directly tethered to the identity and revealing of Jesus.

The Connection to Jesus, is the link to the Ultimate Source, the "Light of the World" —John 8:12. The mystery revealed here is that we do not generate our own light. This is what active faith in Him does, as we participate in searching for Him in His Word.‍ ‍
